ABOUT JOURNAL

The SF Journal of Forensic Medicine is dedicated to research and professional knowledge at the intersection of medicine, science, and the law. The journal provides a platform for advances in forensic medicine and related disciplines that contribute to reliable medico-legal investigation and interpretation of evidence.

The journal covers areas including forensic pathology, death investigation, medico-legal examination, injury analysis, forensic toxicology, forensic identification, biological evidence, clinical forensic medicine, forensic anthropology, and scientific approaches to the evaluation and documentation of medico-legal findings.

The journal welcomes all types of scholarly manuscripts relevant to its scientific scope, including original research, review articles, systematic reviews, case reports, case series, methodological studies, brief reports, and other scientifically valuable contributions. Medical investigators interested in problems relating to forensics have recently published three papers [1-3], through which valuable data and insight have been provided regarding the possible etiology of Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP)-specifically from a stand-point of pathophysiology, including regional brain volume loss [1,2], adenosine [3], and hypoxemia related to compromised ventilation during seizure activity [1].
