SF Plant Science and Seed Research focuses on scientific research concerning plants, plant development, crop improvement, and the biology, production, and quality of seeds. The journal provides a platform for plant scientists, geneticists, agronomists, researchers, and agricultural professionals investigating fundamental and applied aspects of plant and seed science.

The journal covers areas including plant physiology, plant development, genetics and genomics, plant breeding, seed biology, seed physiology, seed quality, germination, dormancy, seed storage, plant molecular biology, plant pathology, plant stress responses, crop improvement, biotechnology, and approaches for developing resilient and productive plant varieties.

The journal welcomes original research, review articles, systematic reviews, experimental studies, field investigations, laboratory studies, methodological contributions, technical reports, brief reports, and other scientifically valuable manuscripts relevant to plant science and seed research. Effect of Super Absorbent Polymercoating on Seed Yield and Quality of Green Gram (Vigna radiata L.) Under Field Condition

A field experiment was carried out with green gram cv. CO 8 to study the impact of different Super Absorbent Polymer (SAP) coating on growth, yield and seed quality. The optimized concentration of different SAPs viz., Sodium Polyacrylate (SPA), Polyacrylamide (PA) and Coir pith based SAP@7, 2 and 8 g/kg of seeds respectively were applied along with MnSO4@100 ppm to green gram seeds and uncoated seeds (control) served as control.

Genetic Diversity of Plant Species in Hilly Areas Adjacent to Sylhet Agricultural University

The study was carried out to investigate the status of genetic diversity of plant species in hilly areas and plain lands of Sylhet Agricultural University (SAU) and in hilly areas adjacent to SAU during January, 2015 to June, 2015. Four study areas were selected to investigate the status of genetic diversity of plant species. It also explored relationships between the characteristics, types, habits, total number of plants and the relationships between hilly area plants and plain land area plants.
