ABOUT JOURNAL

Journal of Bacteriology and Vaccine Research focuses on research into bacterial microorganisms, infectious diseases, host responses, and the development of vaccines and related preventive strategies. The journal provides a platform for microbiologists, immunologists, infectious disease researchers, and healthcare scientists investigating bacterial pathogens and methods for controlling infectious diseases.

The journal covers areas including bacterial taxonomy and physiology, microbial genetics, bacterial pathogenesis, host-pathogen interactions, antimicrobial resistance, bacterial virulence, infection biology, bacterial diagnostics, immune responses to infection, vaccine antigens, vaccine design and development, vaccine efficacy, adjuvants, and emerging approaches to infectious disease prevention.

The journal welcomes original research, review articles, systematic reviews, experimental studies, translational research, methodological contributions, brief reports, and other scientifically valuable manuscripts relevant to bacteriology and vaccine research. Associations between Tumor Necrosis Factor-Alpha Polymorphisms and the Risk of Tuberculosis: A Meta-Analysis

Background: Tuberculosis (TB) is a global infectious disease that seriously threatens human health, but the association between tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-α, TNF) gene and TB remains controversial. Methods: Relevant studies published in English or Chinese up to April 12, 2019, were searched from PubMed, Embase, Metstr, Web of Science, Medline, and CNKI databases. The associations were estimated by Odds Ratios (ORs) and 95% Confidence Intervals (CIs).

Cloning and Expression of Fimbrial Subunit Gene of Dichelobacter Nodosus from Jammu and Kashmir, India and Purification of the Recombinant Protein

Objectives: The present study was aimed at cloning and expression of fimbrial subunit gene (fimA) of D. nodosus (serogroup B and E from J&K, India) in E. coli. Then the purification of the expressed fusion proteins was attempted. Results: Sequence analysis of the cloned fimA genes, revealed that the serogroup B fimA gene had maximum homology with strains JKS-01B and serogroup E fimA gene
