SF Journal of Medicine and Research provides a broad multidisciplinary platform for scientific and clinical research across medicine and related healthcare disciplines. The journal encourages researchers, physicians, clinicians, and healthcare professionals to communicate findings that contribute to understanding human disease and improving approaches to healthcare.

The journal encompasses diverse areas of medical science including disease mechanisms, clinical diagnosis, therapeutics, preventive medicine, patient management, biomedical research, healthcare practice, epidemiology, medical technology, and interdisciplinary approaches to health and disease. The Use of Micro-Debrief in Simulation-based Learning for Medical Students

With traditional Simulation-Based Learning (SBL), most of the feedback and performance frames are usually discussed at the end of the session during ‘debrief’. This is known as “terminal debrief”. Another mode of debriefing which is gaining traction is “within simulation debrief”, which is also known as micro-debriefing. Angiopoietin-1 and 2 in Falciparum Malaria: Its Dysregulation and Role as Biomarkers for Prediction of Outcome

Angiopoietin-1 and 2 maintain the integrity of endothelium, which plays a pivotal role in the pathogenesis of severe malaria. We study its dysregulation and utility as biomarker. We enrolled 34 patients of uncomplicated, 108 patients of severe falciparum malaria (SM), and 30 healthy controls in this study. Plasma ANG-1 and 2 were estimated with sandwich ELISA and analyzed for predictive accuracy.

Electrocardiographic Changes Following Cerebrovascular Events: A Systematic Review

Background: Electrocardiographic (ECG) changes occurring after the onset of Cerebrovascular Accidents (CVA), including both ischemic and haemorrhagic stroke, have been demonstrated in numerous studies. These changes can be due to various causes. They could be a complication of the CVA or a concomitant Acute Myocardial Infarction (AMI). Meanwhile, ECG abnormalities including atrial fibrillation could reflect a cause of CVA or could be present prior to the stroke.
